Veu Dalle

Mi amore,

He said,

His hair all askew,

Mi amigo,

She replied,

There’s nothing more I can do.

‘He’s dead,’

She said,

And he broke down.

The smile he wore,

Soon became a frown.

‘Upon you I look down,’

He whispered, amused,

Though the prince looked rather confused.

Befuddled, actually…

Though it’s not quite a shame,

For Signor y Signora,

He looked rather lame.

So Veu Mia approached,

Her head in her hands,

Her greying temples flowing with bands..

‘Farewell,’ she whispered,

Her eyes all in blue,

‘Farewell,’ he replied,

‘Farewell, I love you.’
